I'm glad you got that solved. I use EGP and MGP (boost) on Stinky every time I drive. From what I've learned, there are combinations of PCM, tablet, app, and OBDII adapter that do not behave the same as others.

Ok, major frustration here. I got a new phone, xferred all my stuff over from the old one. Torque WILL NOT give me trans temp. Version on the new phone is the same and updated. I didn't have to do anything special to get trans temp on the old phone, added the gauge and all was well. I have 2 "Transmission Temperature" options and 2 "Transmission Fluid Temperature" options in the old phone. New phone doesn't have the latter. I've added the PID in the new phone and I'm still getting nothing. Trans temp was the #1 reason I bought the dongle and app. Any suggestions?

I ran into the same problem with Engine Oil Temperature one time. I had to strip out Torque Pro, run all the updates, then re-install TP and manually program all my PIDs from scratch. It was a total PITA, but it worked. I can't promise this will work for your situation, but there it is.

is there a way to save all the PIDs / gauges you have installed on your tablet vs have to start from scratch.. man that is a lot of work putting it all back.

Yes, but I can't remember the exact procedure off the top of my head. I believe you export the settings, then you can import them. I also know that if you install an explorer app, you can look at all the files on your phone like a PC. I did that with my Nexus 7 and I can dig around in there all I want - copy, paste, etc....

Saying that, we don't know where the problem is. To rephrase - we don't know where the 1 was supposed to be a 0 (or visa-versa), and copying straight over could import the same error. You can try it - but I can't answer if the PITA trophy won't reach your mantle.

I assume you looked everywhere in the PID setting for a typo.

Big thanks to Tug and Pik for doing all this work, was able to put Torque with BAFX dongle in my 1996 and have it working with no issues.

Is there an app on Play that automatically sets up all of these PIDs?

Or does someone have a CSV of all of the current PIDs they could share?

Good lord. Finally found the CSV. It's linked to originally in this Chipworkz post:

The direct link to the CSV file is:

Is the Csv file all we need to use for loading gauges? Rich are you still planing on posting up your Torque gauge set up? I know we talked about doing so at one time via pm or am I thinking of something different here?

I finally have a huge gap in my workload for the holidays, so I can finally take some time with my tablet. I'm also due for the 2017 update soon anyway.

I know this is an old thread, but? Does anyone have the IAT working on an OBS?

This is what I have:
IAT:
Mode/PID: 22114A
Long name: IATf OBS
Short name: IATf
Min value: -20
Max value: 150
Scale: x1
Unit: °F
Equation: (((A*256)+B)*-0.00314)+193.34

I still haven't locked down in which years this is true, but my experience has shown I must use the correct PID number and correct long name for the PID to work. You can use whatever short name you want, but it's my understanding the long name must be "official" - like intake air temperature.

Thanks for that.

Hmm, when I try to add a custom pid (intake air temperature) it states their is a pid with that name. It doesn't appear in the Ford pid list, but is available when I add a gauge??? I can't edit or find that one.

Manage custom OBD2 PIDs

First post in years. But always using this great forum. I've downloaded the csv file and a file explorer.

1. I cannot find the folder previously mentioned "On my device it is sdcard\.torque\extendedpids" so I copied in the .torque folder and in several folders

2. When I go to Torque Setting and select Manage extra PIDs/ Sensors it comes up with Press 'Menu' to add extra OBD PIDS. Where the heck is the Menu??

Been so long do not know if I have a signature block or if updated. But I have an 02 7.3 bought new back in 02/02. About 182k miles. I've enjoyed playing around and upgrading over the years. Running strong as ever. Well actually stronger now. Was a dog in 02/02.

These apps keep changing icons for "Settings" and "Menu", but the last couple of years things have pretty much settled down to a gear and/or wrench for "settings"...

and three bars for "Menu"...

The three bars are a glimpse into the future. This is what a list looks like to an old fart like me without his reading glasses.
