She has a few dings and scratches but nothing the backroads won't end up causing anyways. Nice part is it is Summit White which is the color of the 02 F250 and my favorite color.

Forgot which one it was that use to own an Envoy but hope I can get some good miles out of this truck. Boy oh boy the neighbor is going to be happy!

Trav,

We had a Trailblazer 4x4. After some off-roading the plastic bumper are somewhere in the back country of Nevada. We had the I-6 which got 19 mpg regularly. But parts to fix them are expensive, example fan clutch $450. But it was a nice truck, with the 5.3 you should get as good or better mileage.
I just hope it isn't like the last Blazer we owned.
Nothing wrong with a little variety in the fleet.

My dad is driving it right now and he says the Fuel mileage seems great for a V8 in a vehicle the size of my 94 Explorer. LOL
Ya I just looked at prices as it does have a broken tail light and a dent in the bumper and dang the prices are pretty high (especially since we got the XUV instead of regular)

Now just to find a decent forum that I can figure out how to fix some of the issues the idiots at the delarship didn't know how to fix.

By the way we got $1600 for the expedition the way it was running I thought that was pretty good. Mama originally went up their for a 05 Expedition, then it got sold so they looked at a 07 Explorer 4x4 4.0L and they wouldn't get us in so right before they left mama's eye caught this car.

I like variety but I still am mostly a Ford guy I guess it is just the way I was raised. (mama is too which is why this car surprised me from her. Dad maybe but mom I never expected a chevy as much as she puts them down.)

Drove my "new" truck through some SERIOUS rain today. It loves the deep puddles!!

I haven't seen the stats but it seems like it's been a pretty good summer as far as rainfall is concerned. We have a 2nd home in Overgaard and it seems to me like it's rained almost every day up there.

Not much rain over here in this area Wildcat most of it sounds like in phoenix (dad and mom are on their way out) and getting a little wet since the Sun roof won't completely close (laughing about that because sunroofs always tick me off) LOL

I've been up to our place for probably 20+ days this summer and it has literally rained - pretty hard - every single day. Forest is looking pretty green for mid-August.

BTW, I love the country you live in. Sometimes when we're up at our place with nothing to do we'll just go drive all around up that way, enjoying the country and looking for Pronghorn. You live in a great part of the West.

Thanks I love it over here also. Only real complaint I have about hear is not having power and the power company that is here sucks.
Other then that I love it. Next time you are in the area let me know I might have free time to meet up.

Check out Trailvoy.com, it is a decent forum I used to be a member of.
I had a 2002 GMC Envoy SLT 4x4, it was fully loaded also, it had the inline 6, we got it at 60K miles and sold it at 140K, It got 18mpg when we first bought it, and it had dropped down to 13mpg, I liked it and had the same problems as Kermmydog, I had to replace the fan clutch 2 times on it and it needed done when I sold it. The sun roof had issues also, it leaked at times if you didn't make sure to close it and stop it at the right spot since it would go just past the right spot. It was a great vehicle for us at the time, but we bought it for 14K drove it for 6 years and sold it for 6K, I never serviced the trans on it, so I knew it needed it. I would have rather had the 5.3 V8 as it has the power to haul that heavy pig around, and still get decent mileage. I ended up selling it when we bought the Excursion.

Craig, they did give me some reasons, but it doesn't matter since AZ is a right to work state and they can terminate employment at any time without reason. The reasons they gave were bogus and I shot a few of them down, and then just stopped and told them, it sounds like your mind is made up and nothing I say will change your mind, so, I just told them that they were making a huge mistake and it was going to cost them 3-4 times my annual salary to replace me.

I have checked out QT and it sounds like they have no openings right now, I have plenty of side jobs/ fill in work to keep my busy if needed. I am fairly well known in the gasoline service station industry, as small as it is, firing and hiring some one else echos all over. I have friends that work at Circle K, he is a supervisor, but not in my area, he says there are 2 openings currently and I just have to tell him if I want it, the problem is we are about 5bucks an hour apart on wages, Circle K is notoriously cheap on wages, though they are getting better I hear, since you have to pay your employees to keep the good ones. If we can come to a consensus, I can start there in 2 weeks. I still have a few other options to feel out, one guy wants me to come run an office in Flagstaff, and work out of there, I would make more, but I would have to uproot my family and everything to make that happen... I am not getting the go ahead from the man above on that option... it would be more money, but I would be gone a lot more. Another option I have is a service company in Phx that I worked for 14 years ago... they said they would hire me in a heartbeat and it would be about the same wages to start, with the option of LOTS of OT if I wanted it. The guy that just quit and they "replaced" me with came from there, so I know there is an opening.... The problem is I would be gone all the time.... I want to see my kids grow up.... that is the reason I took the job I was just let go from.

thanks for that info man. Actually it has sunroof problems right now which we are trying to fix. I know this one we are paying to much for but frankly the deal is done and I just hope this car treats us well. Dad so far isn't liking the electronics on it. Going to sign up to trailvoy.com tonight.

Cool.....it's probably a mud pit out there right now. It's been raining in Flagstaff for 18 hours straight now. The tracks got washed out just outside of Needles last night too, so I'm just sitting around the house watching it rain today! Well actually......I never just "sit around" haha.......gonna do my first fluid change on the new gears. Time to get DIRTY

Yea I imagine it is right about now. It was nice this last weekend but since these last rains yesterday we got 1.52" of rain. I think the day before about 1.32". But we need the moisture so badly. At least I can be 100% sure my 15 slash piles I burned are out. Even though I checked them the following day & they were cold.

Trav, I was a member of TrailVoy.com also a good bunch of guys over there. They were always good about helping out.

Donn,
So you work on gas pumps etc I'm assuming? After 12 years with a company you would think they would want to keep you. So to me that speaks for the kind of company they are. What or who is QT?
A move the Flagstaff wouldn't be a bad move with a family. Not too big & not too small. Wonderful summers. A lot of good people up there.
But then also the old saying "a slower dime is better than the fast buck". So Circle K might be a good move also.
But it sounds like you have options so something will work out. If a company is as flaky as to let a 12 year employee go then it is probably a blessing.

I hope so because I am finding a lot of quirks on this car.
Back hatch won't open
rear window won't roll down
roof won't open (We got the EUX which turns into like a truck)
sun roof won't close all the way
key fobs are missing
only one key
rear bumper is shot (don't care to much about that I can fix that)
tail lights are cracked
missing some of the original parts (brush guard and license plate bracket)

Probably a few other small things but it is a nice car overall. Main things I need fixed are the rear bumper, tail lights, sun roof, and back hatch and glass. The rest I can deal with.

Signing up right now to trailvoy to see if they have some answers to some of the problems.

Good Afternoon Everyone.
Bill, here in Bullhead we got rain but I guess Laughlin & Needles got hammered. I was in Laughlin this pm & dirt was washed across Casino Dr. There were places with deep puddles of water. It is funny how we got rain but nothing like a few miles north & across the river. Then on the Parkway behind us got hammered.

Trav, you know the GM V8s are like the 4.3 V6 problems with manifold upper & lower manifold water leaks. Vortex issues etc.
I hope you didn't end up with a problem child.
