It is a good suggestion. After checking for excess oil getting into the intake, resetting the KAM (Keep Alive Memory in the PCM) is the next recommended step IMO - if he hasn't done it already (P0603 might indicate that he has tried changing the PCM program, which may also mean he has tried resetting the KAM).
I have not tried to reset the PCM. Not sure if there is a connection to the keep alive memory and the overhead.......and got a new tank of fuel......0148 gone......hahahaha

You un-tuned the truck (just noticed that in Post #22), so that changed PCM programming (primary cause of the P0603 DTC as acf6 was mentioning). Have you put the tune back in and checked to see if the code returns then?
Hopefully it was simply a fuel issue, but the P0148 is thrown when your rpms are "higher" than the PCM is expecting (monitored by the "Diesel Engine Power Monitor"). Usually that doesn't happen with a tank of bad diesel, but who knows.
Yes put back to stock......ran truck ......still had the code.....retuned to the custom and got a tank of fuel........don't know what it was .......but the code is gone......so as I get this correct when I put my tune to stock or custom ..........duh.......I get it now.........I am a *******........hahaha yes reprogram......thanks guys
