Just noticed I was getting a code 0148.......thought it was the fuel filters so I changed them.....still have code.....any areas I should be looking.....fuel pump runs and shuts off.......as if upper bowl was and is full.......checked and rechecked for leaks.......do you think fuel pump is going? Truck is running fine.....
Everything looked good....clean ......I use the power service diesel kleen........ white bottle........and I also add 2cycle oil......have since I owned it......
Thanks for that bit of info......I was just wondering what it could be.......it can get very frustrating.......so like cam or crank sensor......wiring harness......urgh

Just in case, it does say Fueling Error, not to be a smart azz but diesel was put in right, just checking, Tim could be right for electrical but these HFCM are know to get a little slimy under that water sep area, mite be worth a shot to clean her up.
Fuel Delivery Error: Power Monitor Activated. actual RPM's exceed requested RPM's (by the PCM) which can be caused by an alternative fuel source, CKP or CMP interference (electrical) or a faulty PCM.
In other words, something is making your engine run faster than the PCM wants it to OR something is telling the PCM the engine is running faster than it's supposed (whether this is really happening or not).
Engine seems to respond to the go pedal just fine.......but this just happened tonight, I was leaving to go play hockey and noticed that the overhead computer, the one that reads the temp and mileage......well it wasn't where I left it. I usually leave it on temp......I dunno if this has anything to do with it.......
My truck just threw this code last week too, but it was running really rough and surging above 1600rpm. its at the shop now for an electrical short somewhere
