I Have a 1996 F 250. The engine cranks and idles ok. As you start down the road it begins to hesitate spit and sputter. You can flip from front to back tank and the engine will pick up or even from the back to the front. As long as you flip tanks the engine will continut to run ok. It acts as if it is running out of gas. EEC-IV codes are 22, 123, 556, 542 Please give some advice.

Sounds like your fuel pumps are going out. Have you ever changed your fuel filter? that could be making the pumps struggle. Codes 556 and 542 are fuel pump circuit failure. But your truck would not run if the fuel pumps were both out. I would change the Fuel Filter and see what that does.
Code 22. MAP/BP sensor out of self test range
Code 123. TP circuit above maximum 4.5 volts.
Code 556. Fuel Pump circuit failure
Code 542. Fuel pump circuit failure
I have already changed the fuel filter. I have grounded out the test plug and run the pumps continually. They were pumping fine. I was wondering about the tps.
