I know everone says to use OEM headgaskets. is there any area we should look for other gaskets. oil pan, bed plate, front or rear cover. I have always used Fel-Pro gaskets in the past when working on gasers. whats everyones input.
When it comes to gaskets I would only buy oem. You really dont save much going aftermarket and its not worth the headache to try something that may go bad in a short time. Not worth it to me.
They tend to have a higher failure rate but that does not mean they all will fail.

Ironically, there are some of the "lucky ones" that have stock TTY bolts on 6.0s that haven't blown and yet how many people recommend hands down to use studs on these trucks?

I for one was still running factory headgaskets with factory TTY bolts. Unroll teardown this week. Will have studs going back in
I was too and I didn't put studs in due to a failure of those bolts, but because I was putting in some modifications that for sure would have caused them to go.
I would use OEM as much as I could though. The more that you add to it that isn't OEM, the more specialized the repair is going to be. Techs have a hard enough time properly taking care of the 6.0 in general (not all, but unfortunately most (at least 51% of the ones out there)), let alone when a/m parts come into play.
