It's not the fuel or the pump. It's something electrical. Search for a thread titled P0148 CAUSES? March of 2013. Little information there --- Tim

Mark any way to see what PCM is seeing with this, What else would make the truck see more fuel ( TPS )Throttle position senser
It says:
Possible causes
- fuel quality
- CKP or CMP signal noise
Retrieve ALL DTC's
Carry out a drive cycle
Reflash the PCM, if the P0148 DTC is still present, then install a new PCM.
According the the manual, when an rpm differential occurs (rpms higher than expected), the DEPM diables the CKP and CMP output signals sent by the PCM to the FICM.
I believe that inspecting the CKP and CMP wiring would be a good idea and then also testing the harnesses. I would also think that a crankcase pressure test would be a good one to do. After that (as indicated above), it seems that clearing the codes, resetting the KAM, and then completing a few drive cycles would be good to see if it (or other DTCs) comes back. Ultimately, it may mean reflashing the PCM or even a new PCM (if no other issues are discovered).

An unknown fuel source such as crankcase oil from something like excess blow by (as Mark indicated by a pressure test) or leaking compressor side turbo seal.
Well here it is in a nut shell.......spent most of the morning looking for a short......couldn't find one......so I proceeded to un tune.......back to stock.....cleared codes.....and then ran truck to see what codes......pulled up more codes......main one I found interesting.....0603......has something to do with memory........I think the computer is taking a ****......oya and the overhead comp. Keeps resetting to mpg......and I made sure that was an unbiased test......did it 5 times in a row.....as soon as you shut off truck
Might want to research blanking the memory. Has something to do with disconnecting the battery cables and holding the + and - together and the truck will go thru a relearn process. Probably won't work but who knows?
could this be another DUMB post by you know who? ????
Mike, did you look at the mentioned sensers CKP CMP and connections? I would pull the Three FICM connections and look real close at the pins too, maybe the connections clip is snaped off and not making good contact, Use a little Dio Grease to help slip them back in, I use 2 1x2 one across and one to slip the connection in seems to help .If the clip is snap put a zip tie on to keep the connection on.
Yes looked at all of them used silicone grease.....easily available @ work.....pulled all the sensors .....connectors..... had a truck that acted up from road salt .....just want to cover all the bases...hate to just throw parts at it....but the wierd codes got me baffled and with the overhead computer.......with the fuel mileage on it keeps resetting .......probably expensive....needing replaced....would there be a connection to the PCM?

It is a good suggestion. After checking for excess oil getting into the intake, resetting the KAM (Keep Alive Memory in the PCM) is the next recommended step IMO - if he hasn't done it already (P0603 might indicate that he has tried changing the PCM program, which may also mean he has tried resetting the KAM).
