In all seriousness, if you change coolant yearly or every 50k miles, it likely does not master which coolant you use. This includes the green stuff. The green stuff is silicate based. Isn't the green stuff the same as Ford Gold but not as environmentally friendly?
Do NOT use the green stuff. Period.

A long as you don't use a filter. That might cause you a problem you know.

Now that's funny right there!

I hired a Cajun woman to waive a chicken bone over my radiator and degas bottle (I read a sign stapled to a telephone pole saying this was good idea). I paid her with my favorite yard cat. I kinda miss it, hope it's doing ok...

Rusty, that's a riot. I actually lol'd for a while on that one. Problem is, it's about as accurate as the op.

I kinda hope Yahiko doesn't see it. I don't think he likes cat jokes.

If you see his cat in your yard, everybody's in trouble...

I have a few of those cats hanging around the neighbor hood. I take my little fishing pole and tie a rubber lure on it and sneak out a door and do some cat fishing. It's really funny to watch these cats chase it all the way up to my feet before they realize I'm right there.

I also do it for my cats in the house. Wife kinda gets nervous with my casting accuracy!!!!!

( Our cats weigh 18#s each. They are "Free Range" kitties. )

That's a good idea -- I had something (shorter range) from a pet store. Now that all the dogs have passed, we're a bi-polar pet house: 4 cats 15lbs down to 6 and on the other end 1200lb & 1000lb hay munchers...

when i read the OP, i thought..... hm... troll?

posting about coolant here always means a l000000ng
thread.....

almost anything will plug up those fine passages, all the
filter is doing is bypass filtering the coolant to pull any
crud out.

and not to worry. if you don't want to run a special filter, every
6.0 has a BUILT IN COOLANT FILTER, that will remove
any suspended matter from the coolant... so not to worry.

it's called the OIL COOLER. does an excellent job of filtering
the coolant. and it's not a bypass filter.. if filters EVERY BIT
of the coolant, whisking particles out of the flowing coolant...

changing it is a pain, however.

What is the suggested change interval on the extremely internal coolant filter -- I can't find it in my owners manual?
