You might as well get a chip.... older trucks are their lowest priority. They're working on tuners for 6.0Ls and supercharged Fords, and newer gas V8s. If you're holding out for a Predator it may be 6-12 months.
Will i need to first install a Superchip or does the tuner alter the existing chips??? New guy here, just don't know?!?!?!?!?! I have a 2003 F350 7.3 turbo diesel... automatic trans..
The Tuner works with your existing ECU. It will save your stock programming to itself and allow you to choose which of the available programs in the tuner to download to your ECU.
Ken,
If you have the SCMT that doesn't have the OBDII reader, would the upgrade give you that capability?
Ken
I was going to order the predator on monday now this
I pull A 10'000 lb trailer have 35" tires which one is best for me.
I also was going to have the predator set for the 35" tires.
Hold that thought. Diablo is not providing programming for it yet except to correct issues when they arise. They've hinted there might be a fee for custom programming. For now you have to make do with its shift firmness capabilities or use a chip.
Ken
I thought you could get it programed for the 35"?
If not the predator how about the superchip.
If not can I use the super lift truspeed with one of the programers?
Also which one do you think I should run?
Are you selling the Tymar filter?
If I order this on monday , when should I expect it. I live in N.J.
Thanks
Bob

Also what do you think is best for pulling trailers with the least amount of problems. I am not looking for I hot rod just lots of pulling power.
The reason I am looking at the programers over the chips is the why you install it. I had A chip in my 99 V10 and didnt like that I had to sand the silicone off. Whats your thoughts.
Check out the computer tuning section.... I've answered these questions there (and in this section as well) at least dozens of times. Right now I'm working an 80 hour week due to catching up from two business trips and I don't have a lot of spare time to answer questions.

Okay... let answer that... I was under the gun trying to get something done earlier.
The 60HP setting of the Diablo Predator or the 70HP of the Microtuner. Both are going to give similar actual results. Its not a matter of "better", its a matter what features you're looking for. It you want basic tuning go for the Superchips, if you want the additional features only available with the Predator then go with that...
