Superchips Microtuner Now Has 3 Program Settings
The Superchips Microtuner 1705 has been updated in two ways.:
1. Now has three settings instead of two: 70HP, 90HP and 110HP.
2. Lower EGTs than before. ie, 70HP has roughly the same EGTs as the previous 60HP, 90HP the same as the previous 80HP, etc.
Be careful, many dealers will try to get rid of their inventory and sell you their older 2 program tuners! We've got the 3 program tuners now!
See: http://www.motorhaven.com/customer/home.php?cat=8
Before anyone asks, I will answer the common questions that came up the last time Superchips updated the Powerstroke tuner:
Q. Can I update my old Microtuner to support 3 tunes?
A. No. Only the Diablo Predator supports updating.
Q. Is there an upgrade path (ie., can I pay some money to upgrade to a newer Microtuner)?
A. No. We don't sell used Microtuners so we'd end up getting stuck with them.
Q. Can I return my current Microtuner under the 30 day return policy and get a new one?
A. So what you're saying is "can I shaft Ken and stick him with older inventory when I was perfectly happy with the product until he made this announcement?"

The 94-98 Powerstrokes have always had a lot less power from the Microtuner than the 99+. You can make up for a lot of that with an exhaust system.
Here are the specs for 1994-1998:
40 hp/70 ft/lb torque tow mode
50 hp/85 ft/lb torque all around hi-perf and towing less than 6000 pounds
80 hp/115 ft/lb torque hi-performance (no towing)

Ken,
Is there any specific information u will need from me before i order this new Tuner?? i have a 99+ powerstroke and i dont want to order this and it not work on my truck. I have heard horror stories of this happening and having to send it back to get it programmed for that specific truck or code the truck has. Could u give me all information u will need prior to me ordering?? thanks.
