EGT's aren't as bad as i thought they were yesterday, boost doesn't happen until 2K rpm.
I need to lower my idle too. idle right now is about 850 rpm. maybe then my cold idle will do something lol. i also need to advance the timing for sure. this thing is WAY to quite.
Does timing have an effect on exhaust note out the tail pipe? i ask b/c it sounds like somebody put my muffler back in. truck still sounds strong but more mellow.

thanks for that flow chart thingy lol! the trans does what ATSG says through step 5. bit sketched out about going from O/D to 2nd LOL. is that saying when in OD at 50, let off throttle all the way, and then drop it down to manual 2? or drop down, then let off go pedal?
i'd love some timing stuff but don't have the $300 to drop on a ferret and timing light. would really like one of those fancy kent-moore's, but not fond of e-bay in the slightest bit....

drive 50mph and while giving it less than half throttle,manually downshift into 2nd gear,let off the skinny and she should kick right down and slow ya right down quickly.once she's rolling down around 30 mph,drop her down to 1st and she should rapidly downshift into 1st.
don't get rear ended lmao.make sure it's a side street/straight away/no one around.be safe while testing.

lol. good thing my truck has a straight pipe. engine braking sounds like mmmmmm in this thing. i'm not gonna break anything....like a trans...am i?
no you wont brake it.she wont downshift into a manually selected gear until it's going slow enough anyway.
im not sure but i don't think my tugger kit has this limitation but iv no desire to find out either lol.
much to my surprise i got my R&D IP today in the mail!!!! went out and installed it. install went good. seems to idle smoother than with the old IP. Runs strong. runs about 5psi of boost. i went nearly WOT twice and hit maybe 9psi. on the EGT front......let's just say i won't/can't tow anything........i can hit 900*F just getting up to 55mph and that is not getting on it hard. i am also very happy to report that there is no more smoke than there was with the old pump(hardly an at all).

Even though i am only running 5psi, it still feels like twice the truck as it did before. i am sure my wg needs adjusting but seeing as how EGT's will prevent me from getting on it hard, there is no point in messing with the WG right now. I NEED AN INTERCOOLER IN A VERY BAD WAY!!!! Local J/Y had a 7.3 superduty, will have to call them or stop by and see how much they want for the IC. fix the TPS, IC it, crank the fuel, dial in the WG, and this thing would be an absolute beast!!!
The e-fuel is awesome btw, still no leaks in the return system and i have about .5-1psi fuel pressure drop when getting o it!
That's about all i can think of right now. As of my short drive today i am happy with my e-fuel choice and my IP choice!!!!!!!
only 9 psi max with egt?
I am running stuck lift pump, which is bad, 94 factory upgrade turbo and injection pump turned up. I get 15 psi through a SD intercooler, and I can hold it all day.

remember to set your idle down before adjusting your fipl/tps or you'll have to start all over and set that tricky bugger again after you turn the idle down.
iirc,you had Russ install a larger turbo wheel? if that made spool up slightly more laggy (them's the breaks.there's pro's and con's to everything) go easy on the timing advance.or without a meter,i should say,go easy on the diesel rattle or she'll spool up even slower and your dreams of getting a whistle will be forever gone lol!
