Yeah it's back there. Trying to figure out what wires from EZ Wire harness goes where. Right now I have the power coming in on terminal 14.
Okay, I dug out the wiring diagrams and you might be correct. According to the wiring diagram the ICVR is fed from fuse F10 on the fuse block by a black w/ green stripe resistor wire. This wire is listed as having 8-9 ohms resistance.
The resistor wire runs from the printed circuit plug on the back of the instrument cluster to a splice behind the cluster were it is joined by two other wires, both black w/ green stripe. One of these goes to the ignition switch, the other to fuse F10. Neither of these other two are resistor wires.
the pic below shows my oils sending unit with the 90 degree connector.
i found another pic online... I belive the loose connector on the anti-dieseling thorttle positioner connects to the green connector that is on the far right of the picture. only half the connector is showing in the pic. In the photo I saw this wire is routed around the passenger side of the carb and plugged into the spade on the positioner wire. Thought I would post my findings just in case anyone with the same issue was looking.

Reason: grammatical

I'm thinking Laz was saying red, as in with the white stripe, and the location of the plug (picture is sideways judging by the dizzy under your finger tips and the top rad hose that you hand is against) that would be for coolant temp guage.
Is that an aftermarket temp guage in the truck under the dash left of the steering? In the other picture it looks like there is an armored mechanical temp guage tube running in the firewall hole with the plug pushed in, the one to the left of the main harness plug. My guess would be someone disconnected the factory temp guage and put in an aftermarket one. Does the dash guage work?
your right about there being an after market gauge... There is an "armored wire" running to it. There are also two wires hanging off of it. one red ond black. from the from I had assumed it was disconnected, so I had not addressed that. Looked at it today and I guess those wires are for lighting. Yes the gauge works, although no sure how accurately. It shows my engine get to about 205 degrees when fully warmed up.
This thread was enlightening. For those of you who don't know, I now have Ted's crew cab. This thread gave me an eye into the mind of the person that did the last wiring job, that I'm now troubleshooting and customizing.
