Drop the pan change the filter top off and drive if it's better do the fluid transfer from the link that Mark posted . at the very least you're not out of cash for 3 cases of ATF if the tranny still doesn't shift right .
The tranny pan bolts are 10mm , it's an easy job . We can walk you through it if you're interested . And the filter should be changed reguardless
How do I drain the fluid, as mine doesn't have a drain plug. That's why I was gonna flush it. I guess I could run my floor jack under it,to support it while I unbolt it. To keep from taking a fluid bath. On another note, is there any way to adjust the kick down shifting or the idle speed
Working from the far side of the tranny remove the pan bolts , that way when the fluid starts to drain you aren't getting a bath . Let the pan dip down and the fluid drain out . Then remove the rest of the bolts . Some trannys will have a reusable pan gasket , some don't .
I can't remember if there is a bolt holding the filter in or if it's just pressed into the pump .
