Yup. FTE seems to be running real slow this morning. Taking a long to be queries, though it replies normally.

Suspect they are getting DDOS'd.

Musta' not made the monthly baksheesh payment to the bastages.

The latest scam...

Young fellow comes to the door last night, past dusk so I was already not happy. Says he just talked to my neighbors, names ABC (which were wrong) and on the other side named XYZ (and that house is empty) and says they are trying to get the neighborhood together for newspaper delivery. Like in the old days when a kid on a bicycle would deliver it.

That's when I told him to go scam somewhere else and closed the door, so I don't know which newspaper. He began to protest my use of the word scam, but I didn't hear much of it.

When the first words out of your mouth are a lie, I call BS on the rest of it.

We poured 17 yards of concrete this morning...where's your sense of adventure?

Still trying to stoke it. I think I'm going to give up on the idea, and start thinking about tomorrow.

Never put of until tomorrow what you can put off until the day after tomorrow. I'd aim for Sunday.

I was talking to a guy at work yesterday. Maybe owning a diesel isnt as expensive as I though!

He bought a tuner for his car. $600. He had to drive to Torrence to get it installed.
He is planning on getting a CAI. $400. Filters are $50, non reusable. He said they were carbine?

I cant imagine spending $600 on a tuner. Although by the sound of it, its pretty cool. You hold the cruise control button for 5 seconds then the factory in-dash monitor changes to a screen to control the tuner. Thats pretty cool lol

Last evening's rain musta' been just perfect for getting the ground damp.

Though I don't suppose that the temperature is good for the setup time, the humidity had to help a bit.

What kind of job you on?

It was a driveway, sidewalk and approach with a walkway and a runner for a sliding gate. Last night's rain was long gone off the grade, Pico Rivera has a very sandy loam that soaks the water right in.

Let's see...based on my minute of research...

4000psi? weighs 2 tons/yard?

$200/yd? fibermesh? water reducer? accelerator?

Should be a solid driveway for 20yrs. or until the next shaker.

3000psi for the driveway, 3250psi (city mix) is required for the sidewalk and approach. No additives. The 3000 was probably around 85 bucks a yard I'd say, I wasn't paying the bill so I'm not sure...a bit more for city mix.

Joe, you'll be bored after an hour. Each floor has more or less the same stores. Beg off and find some nice benches in the central amusement park, have a seat, a coffee, a book or mag and enjoy the people watching. Better yet, send us a post & pic from your vantage point!

In Chicago, they talked about regular concrete, cheapo concrete and political concrete (the most popular, used on all the toll roads). City mix sounds suspicious...

You either did something terribly wrong, or terribly right.
