racin, i made a couple hard runs with the WG hooked up and my boost rose slower and was about 3-4pssi lower.
Eric, I was talking about locking it up, so it doesnt move. might take a little bit of creativity (or a tack weld), but if you can get the WG stop opening with drive pressure, youll get more boost.
well after about 200 miles on the str8 pipe i'm not to sure about this.
there is only one problem with straight pipe is that i can no longer hear ANY cold side turbo whistle.
not saying i wish i hadn't done the straight pipe but the noise on acceleration is a bit obnoxious. it's not loud, but the tone of the exhaust is not my taste to say the least. I REALLY like the sound right around 1500 rpm, it sounds like a Cummins and you can hear the turbo start to spool up, but once you get up over 2000 rpm it just sounds like i am at red line. there is no in-between. then it just pops and...........yuck.
