That is the voltage while actually cranking? Then that is good. Some vehicles the tach moves while cranking and some don't. I am not sure if it varies by year or what. I honestly have never paid attention to what mine does. Low oil won't affect that but it will keep it from firing.
Good morning Jim.
Good morning Dennis. Another nice day here too. About 60 to start.
Good morning Gerry.
Good morning Dave. Friday cannot arrive soon enough.
That's what we are doing also.
No! Slacker...LOL
Good morning Dale.
Good morning Trot.
I can't say that is the voltage while cranking, I should have bright the meter around to watch it. But it was spinning good. No smoke or smell really either. I'm hoping just the cps and not the injector driver module
Cory, sounds like you need a promotion. Maybe there's a deputy mayor postion available some where...
Good morning Dustin!

You need 10.5 volts while cranking to get the injectors to fire. Just because it is spinning good doesn't mean you have the full 10.5 volts there. I would get a volt meter on it while cranking.

While it does happen IDM's rarely go bad. Maybe IPR/IPC? I forget which one it is. Has a wire hooked to it with a cheapo tin nut. Is that nut still on? Is there oil leaking through it?

If I had the money I would probably buy one...but nothing wrong with mine so it is here to stay for a while.
My next truck will be at least the 6.7 but that will be probably 10 yrs before I can afford a used one! LOL I don't care for the looks of the '08-'10 trucks. I am liking not having payments on my truck so I will hold on to it for a while.

Good.
Same here so far.
