Wow! This months dinner blew right by me. I was at Kerr Lake helping the SIL get the land laid out for the rv pad and the tent platform yesterday. There was no way I would've gotten back in time for the dinner. I hate I missed it.

you coulda came over and helped with mowing the 5 acres... since you were at kerr....
Hope dinner was good. John reached out and said only Niko, himself and Sherry made it this month. Sorry it was so last minute, and here at the house we had so much going on including the kids first day back at school. I felt I needed to be here for them more than to be out to dinner with the guys. Sorry I couldn't make it. But also, let's start the plan for next month early. Now I do try to make most months when I can. But with school starting up and three kids around all the time, my time is getting pulled in many different directions. And I haven't even gotten back to work yet! This is going on week 10 of being laid off. Might start looking for a day's pay somewhere just to have some cash flowing in.
But next month. Mud race or something else guys? what's everyone feeling for September?
Big race at Jump and Run in Hubert on Sept 21, and a big race at Little doo on the 28th. I plan to have the truck there for them.
Greenleaf Care Center in Lillington. My 66 Mustang got stuck in a sinkhole there last year! The manager assures me this time that we'll be up closer to their building, instead of out by the road. It won't let me upload the MP4 video here, but there is a link to it on FB.

Darn I am not around for that show as it should be cooler.
There is a cruse in just down the street from me on the 4th Saturday of the month and it has been way to hot or like the last one, they got rain so who was going to take their car out?

Yeah I have only had mine out a couple of times in the past month, it's definitely hot to be in an old car with no AC!
So I'm hearing Car show on the 21st, out in Lillington, or Mud Race on the same day. Or we can do a dinner again. I'd like to make it to a show or a race. What's everyone else feeling?

I want to be clear, this car show is small, probably 20-25 cars, and is done in the parking lot of Greenleaf Care Center (old folks nursing home in Lillington). They love checking out the old cars and the staff makes lunch for all the cruisers and spectators. But it's not going to be as big as the one everyone came to in Clayton earlier this year.
There is 2 big races this month. Jump and run is the 21st (that's the track everyone that has came down has been to before)
The other is in Newport little doo mudbog , about 1.5 miles or so off highway 70, don't think anyone from here has ever been to it. Little doo only has 1 flat bog pit, but just as many truck.
