Last night was a blast. I've never laughed so hard in my life. Glad to see the ones who could make it and we missed the ones who couldn't. The food was about average but you got a whole lot for your money.
Agreed. I was in physical pain from laughing so much last night. I wish I could have seen Dustin's face, when we started singing that kids song... or when he had to quickly roll down the window...

Mako, no worries. Things come up always, I do appreciate that you reached out and let me know you weren't coming. I should have sent you my phone number earlier in the week, but just didn't think about it until Marty said something to me yesterday about it. I don't know where the next one is, or when, but it should be this month. Don't forget, we all get to sit around a fire next month and tell lies and tall tales next month!

Niko, thanks for joining us, the first time I joined the group, I said I hadn't laughed that hard in years. Now it's almost a monthly thing. The faces have changed, but the laughs are still rolling. Keep an eye out for the next dinner.
Which brings me to. Who wants to join in and plan the next dinner for March. I'm hoping there is a car show this month we can hit up somewhere, hopefully on a Saturday. May even reach out to Kurt and Dave to see if they want to join us for something like that. We haven't seen those two in quite a while. Who else do we need to reach out to. Larry, comes to mind.
Let's start getting things together for March, so one more night of laughs before we get to the April Fling trip.
Saturday's work for me the best and a car show would be cool. Most of the time when I hear of a show it is too late.
Maybe even Friday dinner but when you get up between 12am & 3am, don't know what time I will be home, it gets hard to stay up for Friday night fun.
Because of them hours is why I also don't get more done on the truck
I have not seen Kurt post in a long time, anyone hear from him lately? Hope all is ok.
I will try to keep a better eye open for a Saturday dinner / show.

I only have one car show listed in March, and that is in Clayton on Saturday the 30th. Usually April and May will have a car show every weekend, same with September and October.
What are some of the favorite places that we've eaten at? For me, I would say City BBQ in Garner, Bad Daddies (burgers) in Raleigh, and Redneck BBQ Lab out in the sticks where I live.

those were all good places.
Who else is up to looking around a show on Saturday morning?
John,
Are they going to have anything to eat there? Or is it more of hitting the local restaurants. What time would you want us all to show up? I'm feeling a car show Saturday. Maybe it will start feeling like spring around here finally.

Is the Redneck BBQ Lab the one on the Benson / Angier line on 210 off exit 319 of RT 40?

I talked to the organizer, they do not have any food for the event, because there is a McDonalds and two diners within walking distance of the car show. I'll probably attend the show if weather permits, in which case I would get there early and y'all could come around 11 or 12, check out the cars, and then we could leave to eat after that. Anywhere local if you know a place in Clayton you'd like to try out.
This is the first year for this event, so no telling what the turnout will be. Might be 80 cars, might be 15 cars!
This is not my show, my buddy Tim Poole from the Central Carolina Camaro's is organizing this one, I am just going to be one of the attendees
Any suggestions on where to eat? I just found out that Bernie's (which I don't think any of us were really crazy about) closed down. There is a place called Cleveland Draft House about 1/4 mile away from the car show (address 461 Shotwell Rd, Clayton, NC 27520) which I know has good burgers and stuff, but I don't think they have BBQ. This is their website: Cleveland Draft House
If anybody has other suggestions please throw them out there! If it's further than walking distance I will just leave my Mustang in the car show area and ride with one of you to go eat.
