Do you have to do the ficm test for voltage cold only? just wondering because i checked it just now and only got. 0.345 milli volts while warmed up, key on not running and while trying to start,,,,,,,,
history is it takes a long time to get it started after driving it 20 - 30 mls it takes 2 or 3 trys of 8 sec before it will start
Your saying you have trouble starting the truck after it's warm? If so...and considering it's a '06 I wonder if you've got a HPO leak and not FICM issues? If you've got an AE or know someone with it...would be helpful to check your IPR duty cycle to see if it's trying to keep up with a leak.
Well i had a hard time startin it all winter, starte taking 2 sec the 4 and so on and so on.suposidly the dealer replaced the hpop under waranty in 2010.
How long have you owned the truck? Do you know if any of the HPO parts have been replaced besides the HPOP? Another thought, just something simple to check...you are running OEM filters right? I only bring that up because an aftermarket filter can cause oil pressure issues.

Only hpop as ford house told me, i bought the truck in 2008 with 50k . Got oasis report in 2010 ( off another ford forum) when the dealer suposidly replace hpop under warranty(i say that because i could not see ant evedence under the hood that they did anything;ie no dirty fingwrprints , no dirt/dust desturbed around the turbo or anywhere else. as far as mili volt readings i will check again in the am. but i am a instrument tech and. work on 24 volt process control systems all day long and used my fluk 87 on v-dc conected ,,,,pos= furthest screw to the right closeat to fender and neg to ground.... truck has 108 k on it know
I'm just saying your injectors will not fire on voltage in the millivolt range.
To me, your posts make it sound like you can get the engine started - it just takes longer. If that is the case, then your readings are off. If it does not start at all now, then the readings could be good and the FICM is shot.
