6.0 hard start when warm

Hi all, I have a question about my 06 6.0 F350 , for a while I have had a issue of it being hard to start when cold , it would take 4 to 10 sec. to start then run like crap with no power till warm I checked ficm a while back and it appeared to work properly. now for the last 3 weeks it starts pretty quik when cold as it is warm outside 2-4 sec, But now after the truck gets warm (20 miles or so ) and shut it off ,it takes forever to get it restarted like 5 tries of 6 to 8 sec. each .....any ideas would be greatly appeciated. LD

You need to specifically check FICM voltages - KOEO, cranking, and at 2000 rpm.

Test it on a cold engine.

Besides a FICM problem you could also be having a HPO problem, hence the hard/no start when warm.

Yeah, FICM test for sure.

But nevertheless a hard start warm is a HPO problem 99% of the time. Dummy plugs and standpipes, STC fitting, or rail to injector o'rings.
