OK, to cleanse the palate from the bumps and others on here. I have an acquaintance in South America that I converse with regularly. Turns out he really likes old Fords, Dents in particular, so he sends me ones he comes across... He's sent a few Bullnoses and Bricknoses too.
This one was owned by his late uncle and he wanted it to get running again. His cousin scrapped it before he had a chance to take it. He is absolutely pissed, crew cabs are very rare down there.
For business I travel to São Paulo quite often.
Walking around the neighborhoods I’ve spot some Dentsides. Quite a few B-100s. It’d be cool to import one of those.

Aren't those the odd looking Bumpside, Centurian/Bronco, looking things that look like they were drawn from memory from a fever dream? Yeah, would be kinda cool but they ain't winning any beauty contests.
Nevermind I am thinking of the F-1000.
B-100s are pretty cool. Maybe you could bring up a nice body and drop it on a F series chassis. Or Crown Vic chassis.
Isn't the story that they loved Dents so much down there the facotry kept making them into the 90s?
Or hated Bullnoses and Bricknoses so much....
Brazil is a weird car market, it seems the local manufacturing have more autonomy over their parent companies. They probably kept building them down there for economy of tooling as the Bull and Brick really weren't much more advanced besides EFI.

And from what I read they had diesel engine long before they were offered here. I’m sure they were manual as that’s just how ROW is.

This makes a lot more sense than the way they do it these days. Ford will spend over $12 million to redesign the SuperDuty (just a new grill, dash, and wheels) and they keep looking worse. They pass that cost on to the consumer. This is the reason why they cost half the price of a house today.

They built the perfect truck l, why fix what isn't broken? I'm thought I heard somewheres the EPA is technically an illegal arm of the government and has no right to impose its will and fine people but the car makers sure do seem to bow down to them.
