Ford recommented replacing the ignition coil and the ignition module as a pair.
They updated the ignition coil but it retained the same part number. Dumb in my opinion.
Stretching my menory it seems like the primary amperage should have been around 3.4A.
Anything over 3.8 the ignition coil dneeded to be replaced.
I believe back in the day that these Allen Smart Engine Analyzers were the only one on the market that could monitor primary ignition current.
Other hand held units could it you knew how.
