I was watching an old re-run episode of Emergency when this one showed up. 76 F250. There was also a 79 F250 Explorer, but I wasn't quick enough to snap a picture of it.
It's kinda funny what they focus on in the ad... seems that white walls would be an item that would make or break the sale... LOL. Only one car lists the engine. They all do specify the tranny. That $99 ****** is going for 20K today!
I get a kick out of the white walls too. Heaters were a big deal too. LOL
My dad bought a new 1946 Ford in CA when he was discharged from the Navy.
He said he got one of the very few that had a heater and the sales person had a really hard time finding a spare tire because rubber was hard to get due to the war.
He got my dad the spare because he knew he was going to be driving back to Salt Lake City.
I remember when the focus of car sales ads on TV, especially used cars, was that they came with “radio, heater, and white sidewall, tires“ as those were very important! But those were just the basics. The real bonus was if they had automatic transmission and air-conditioning!
