Saw this one yesterday when I had to swing by a friend's work. Had to swing by again tonight and it was there still/again.
I saw a couple more running up to the wrecking yard to get some brake drums. A Bronco and one or two pick ups. There was one at the yard that was in the "car lot" with the cars that were in too "good" of shape to part out. It actually looked like they were using it as a parts runner.
They have a few dented dents piled up in the yard. One of which has a pristine black bumper with the factory tubular brush guard. I was on the way to work and I couldn't take it. Not to mention I have no way of taking a complete bumper right now but maybe I can snag the brush guard next time I'm there.
It's an automobile, it's in an automobile dealership. Everything has it's price, especially to a car salesman.
"They don't want to sell it............................But : $______.__ might change their mind." I wish l had the money to back up a phone call.
I guess if you offer a "crazy (sometimes called stupid) amount of money" you might be able to buy it. I know the dealership was founded in 1976 by Bill Grant. He passed away November 15, 2016. His son Kelly is the General Manager and owns the truck in question. I think it use to belong to his dad, so I bet no amount of money could buy it, but ha ya never know. It is so cool to walk into the dealership and see it setting on the show room floor.
Well Rich, with a backstory like that, you may be right.
It's a fitting tribute to the dealership's founder.
Better than a bronze statue in the parking lot, for sure!
And, it's a good thing l don't have a "stupid amount of money"
...because I've pulled some pretty stupid stunts in my time.
Do they ever start the truck and drive it around?
(Slow, on the driveway. lol)

Yes it gets driven to and from the owners farm to the dealership for lobby duty. I do not think it is tagged to be a daily driver though. Kelly told me the 1st time driving it (after he got is all restored/painted up by his dealership), he hit a deer and smacked up the grill shell/fender. OUCH
Once that was fixed I think he is way more careful with it. And BTW you can not tell is was ever in a accident.
