Went to a small town local car show and saw this beauty. 77 F-150 short bed. Wife passed it once out on the road and came home all excited and told me but I hadn't ever seen it. Finally got to meet owner. As I was looking over truck I could tell it was not native to our area and had to be from a dry climate. Owner confirmed he had it shipped from CA. Beautiful condition. The original seat upholstery was in near excellent condition as well which is rare to find.
Was wasting time on YouTube this morning (as usual) and ran across a cop chase scene in which the cops were driving a dent with a camper! At one point, they really put that twin i-beam suspension to the test on a railroad track!
For those that watch the entire video, take note of the very first and very last chase scenes. In two different episodes, they used the same 68 Ford wipe-out. In one episode, the Michael Douglas is driving a 72 Ford, and in the other he is driving a 73. But the bad guy is in the same 68. Does not end well for the 68.
I had a friend in HS that had one of these.
He painted the cab blue with big white stars on it and
the bed was red and white stripes.
He dropped in a K code 271 HP 289HP with a small case C6.
He was in HS when he built and painted it and won multiple trophies with it.
It was pretty cool.
I’m on vacation in Fort Worth Texas and spotted a beautiful two tone 79. I was so floored that I almost didn’t get a picture. I can’t even remember the last time I saw one in the wild back in NJ. I gotta get out more!
