Oh no... not patina! I just don't understand that. You see that all the time in ads for old vehicles... "It's got that great looking patina!" And somehow, people get just as much money for a truck with "patina" as they would for one with a fresh new paint job!
To me, this translates to, "The paint in failing and needs a paint job."
I know it is a bump, but still earning its keep and working. Talked to the owner. He is picking up a bunk of 7/16 osb and a pallet of shingels. This truck still works.
No photo to share, but I was at my local Discount Tire today getting new rubber on my 2018 Escape, and there was a '79 F100 Custom short bed 4x4 in the parking lot. Nice straight body with pale yellow paint. Truck has add-on A/C, and the original AM radio is still in place. I talked briefly with the owner. The truck has a factory 460 and automatic. Front end sheet metal and grille are from a '73 model (previous accident, maybe?). Overall nice looking truck.
From the GoodGuys show today in Puyallup, WA. Looks like a late ‘70’s supercab cab with a ‘73-‘75 grille, with a bronco back half grafted onto the cab. Also, the rear is from a mid 2000’s lincoln. Plus it’s slammed with a sweet paint job (dark ginger metallic?).

It was one of three dents I saw at the show.
That things really cool. A ton of work went into the body of that. Did you see what they had for a top setup? Was it a soft top maybe, or something custom? With no rear window, a factory Bronco top isn't going to fit.
