Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

we pulled it Saturday and replaced the front seal and had to make a gasket for the front cover, got it all back together and it still leaked plus now it wouldn't shift
Dan sent me to the campground in his extra truck to sleep on the problem. Pulled it again yesterday and quickly found the shift problem, some idiot missed punching one hole in the gasket (me)
took care of that and will pick up the needed o-ring to fix the leak this morning. Hopefully I will be back on the road today

Glad i could help out and keep you truckin.
I just hope that if'n I ever get in that situation myself someday, the favor will be returned. We're all brothers (and sisters, for the ladies out there) in an odd sorta way, and we need to help one-another out from time to time. That's what makes this hobby/family so great.
It was actually an honor to meet Jeff in person, he is without a doubt one of the nicest and friendliest guys you'll ever meet. He's quite the talker too, which can be dangerous as I'm a 'chatty cathy' myself. Needless to say, we 'shot the bull' so much, there was more led on the ground than animal.
We talked about anything and everything and there is not too many people that you can do that with or whom do so much anymore these days. I was hoping to take our trucks out for some cruising/sightseeing, but it just wasn't in the cards.
The stories of all the runs he'd been on and shows he'd been to, stuff he'd done, etc. while wrenchin on his truck, more than made up for it. I know his stay was a bit longer then he really anticipated, but I'm glad we were able to meet and get him back out on the road in good working order. Now I did take some pics while he was here of the repairs and of his truck in general, and I'll try to get them posted up here soon. Need to download them and all that. So I'll add them to this thread tonight or tomorrow night hopefully.
Oh and Jeff- be glad you hit the road when you did as since you left it's been raining like a cow pi$$in on a flat rock! Hopefully you didn't catch too much of Washington's 'liquid sunshine' the rest of the way up. Be safe, buddy!
