So how is it going up in the north country Jeff? Any more run ins with the local wildlife?
Be safe my friend.

All is well! Have been running around prince of wales island with arctic y block for a week, super nice guy today I'm on the ferry headed back to ketchikan, will catch the ferry to Petersburg tomorrow. I'll hang around there a week and then head up into the interior.
So far the only issue has been the leaking trans, and I'm glad to say that it is doing good.... thanks Dan
I'm loving this area, beautiful sights in every direction and plenty of cheap camping
Awesome! Always heard that part of the country is a sight to see. Glad to hear the tranny is holding up, I think you should be good to go all the way back down to your front door.
Be safe and enjoy your trip... keep those pics coming when you get a chance.
Jeff, I seen in another thread you were in Haines AK. now. Hope you are still having the time of you life! How is the weather so far? Have you run out of room on your SD cards yet? Can't wait to see all your pictures. Be safe.

Hi Jeff. Yes how about an update? How is it going. I have finely got the parts to fix the coolant leak on The Bronk. New water pump and timing set with gaskets. Now I just have to shut it down and do it. But having to drive the Ranger if I don't get it done right away is holding me back. I made two trips to Craig in the Ranger lately and don't wish it on anyone until I go through the front end and put the interior back in. I got the wrong back window and the right one is still a week out.
I hope your having fun my friend.
I still haven't adjusted the metering rods on the carb yet either. I can't find the procedure on the net and don't remember who you said did it when ya was In Washington.
Leaving Haines today for the border, so I'll be out of touch for a day or two. Having a blast. Pics are coming.... just haven't been near a wifi connection for a while and still having problems with my phone and laptop communicating. I'll get it figured out and get them posted soon Its gonna feel funny driving again, most of the miles lately have been aboard a ferry.
Rich, it was Lance Hogan who was doing the edelbrock tuning at the show, maybe pm him and see if he can give you some insight to the procedure.
OK Made it through two more border crossings without problems, they'll probably tear my rig apart on the next one set up outside of glenallen AK right now. Gonna tour Valdez and Mcarthy tomorrow. Then the plan is to head on over to anchorage and the kenia for a few days.
Jeff there is a small airport in Glenallen. When I was up there for a pastors conference one of the site seeing tours took a bunch of us up over the Wrangell Mountains. Bud I know ya hate to fly but if ya can swing it ya won't never forget it. Really we almost got knocked out of the air from a silver tip Grizzly. Saw Moose, Goats (the ones the Griz was after) and awesome scenery. There are hot spots all through the mountains. All else is covered with snow bit the hot spots. I am told some are so hot ya can't walk on them. They are hundreds of feet above the populace below. That's like Lava way up there. It's really something to see, and in the air is the only way.
