Yeah, that one was in Death Valley, the highest I have paid so far for fuel was $4.99 south of San Francisco.

WOW! All I can say is WOW!. Never seen that many pics of the Grand Canyon. Unbelievable! After seeing the pics, i definitely want to see it myself!!!
And I had a chuckle when I saw the pic of the New Mexico arch... I thought to myself "Where the good road ends, and the potholes begin"...LOL Man I remember I-40 being a piece of garbage through NM. Made the Albuquerque to Vegas trip in my '78 Mustang Cobra II 3-4 times during my stay.
Man the water level was looowww at Hoover Dam. In the few times I crossed it I don't think I've ever seen it that low.
Great pics and beautiful scenery! Lovin it!! Keep 'em coming when you can. You'll be relieved to know Diesel is much cheaper once you hit Oregon. Our loving Governor had added a bit more tax to out diesel in Washington, but not anywhere like CA is! I think here in town Diesel was gettin about 4.30/gal. Paid 4.08/gal the other day for Unleaded. So hopefully that helps out the wallet a bit for ya. Our campgrounds are far more reasonable too, if not free in some places.

There are a lot of FTE'ers in the PNW, maybe one of them with facilities can help you fix it, if you can find a seal?

Seal is in hand and dano78 has offered his shop and lift for the repair Now it's just a matter of pouring fluid through it to get there.

Great offer on Dano78's part. He should get a couple hundred reps for this. Buy the fluid by the gallon and don't let the environmentalists follow you. Good luck

The leak isn't that bad, a pint or so about 300 miles. Just enough to make a big mess

Eh, just one car guy helpin out another. Isn't the 1st and certainly won't be the last. We're all family in our own rights. I hope that someday when i get brave and rich enough to do a trip like this, the favor would be returned if need be. That and I'm really enjoying watching him go the distance and the scenery he's shooting on the trip.

Nice one Dano! Take some picks of the repair work - Look forward
to hearing about the truck - Never seen a diesel in one of our old trucks.

Oh i plan on it. I really like the way his truck sits too, and hoping he doesn't tackle me when I try to sneak in a few shots of it while it's on the lift....

Jeff, how's the trip goin? Made your way up to the Columbia River yet?

Cool! Sounds good. Yeah depending on how many sights you wanna take in on the way in, you're about 2, maybe 3 hours give or take, from me now. Tomorrow is 'take your kids to work day' so takin the boy with me to work. Weather shouldn't be too bad. Just a little bit of rain. Suppose to see a little bit of sun on Friday... and then back to rain, rain, and more rain. Our nice dry summers don't start till July and are over by September.
