I didn't know you wanted specifics my friend!
Above is what I bought. Real happy with the quality!
So I got the exhaust turned out in front of the back tires for now. I will deal with the rear exit later...I wasn't quite satisfied with what I had. And I really want to work on getting it running before it gets bitterly cold. Time is flying! Work keeps me under the thumb...and I don't like fighting mosquitos...they are horrible here!
I got this 2003 Suburban 3rd row seat and started to work out how to mount it. I was able to use the original slide brackets from the '49. I am happy with how it turned out!
I missed pictures of the completed adapter, but I bolted it up, then tack welded the rods to the angle iron. Then removed the factory slide assembly, cut the rods to length, welded the angle iron and rods together. Ground down the excess, cleaned, primed, and painted. Reassembled the package deal and bolted it to the floor!
It will fold down for storage access, pull another lever and raise up for access under the seat, and yet another lever allows me to remove the entire seat from the cab if needed. However there may be some interference with the steering wheel, but I'm okay with that.
I love the built in seat belts and the headrest location. Also the tan looks good with the green. This turned out easier and better than I expected! About time!
