Yes, most of the layers have been peeled on this onion. In fact, the only issues I'm aware of have to do with the HVAC system. First, the AC hasn't been charged since I got it 6 years ago. I was told that it had worked and had been converted, but it didn't when I got it and there were bigger problems to fix so I never did.
And, one of the doors in the HVAC system doesn't open or close correctly. It won't go to Floor, but does do Defrost, Vent, etc.
Other than that, it is solid. In fact, I wouldn't hesitate to head to the East Coast in it - even given the storm y'all are gonna have. Those 31" M&S tires and 4wd would do fairly well in the snow. However, I'd have to take a fat wallet since Rusty doesn't get but 12 - 13 MPG.
And you talk about how great the 335 engines are, you're in the 460 range but without the grunt. On the HVAC, sounds like the standard curse of vacuum operated systems, a leak somewhere or failed actuator.

Reason: Added HVAC comment.
Bill - This is the engine that was in Dad's truck when it delivered the load of furniture to DE, as well as your analyzer to Falling Waters. Had the ZF in it, and got 14 - 15 running 65 and 13 - 14 running 75. Now it is back in Rusty married to a C6, and that takes at least 2 MPG off of it.
In comparison, Big Blue has the 460/T-19 combo. Final gear ratios are the same, but BB has much bigger tires. And he gets 11 MPG at 65 MPH. So, if Rusty had that 1:1 top gear he would probably get 13-14 MPG. Granted, Rusty weighs less than BB, sits lower, and has smaller tires so it isn't a direct comparison. But, there's probably at least 2 MPG difference between the two engines.
However, I do agree the 460 has more grunt. It seems to run at whatever RPM younset the throttle to, and the truck follows along. It'll lug right down to idle and pull strong from there. Somchanging gears is optional - and when you have a T19 you only use 3rd and 4th most of the time.

Maybe someone from the North East, who would like a relatively rust-free truck, will fly into Tulsa and drive Rusty back to his new home? You could even throw in a batch of your wife's famous brownies!
And, that's at 1:00 today. Got a text about 2 hours from posting asking if I'd consider a trade. Nope, cash. So, would you consider $2500? No, sorrry, it was just listed. Maybe later.
A couple of hours later I got a call, in spite of the ad not saying a call was ok. Guy sounds about my age. Lives about 20 miles away, in Owasso, but has a friend that has purchased an old filling station here in 'took that he's "fixing up". I've seen that station and thought "I should stop in to see if he has any of those old signs for sale", but never did 'cause it doesn't look like he's selling anything, but just fixing up a vintage station - one of those concrete block ones.
Thanks! Unfortunately there aren't extra keys, but we do have a title. Now to figure out which is Dad's and which is Rusty's. The problem of having two 81's. On the other hand, when restoring one it sure is nice to have a reference.
