Good morning and have have a productive hump day RI and Tom. This gorgeous weather is getting boring. Good thing some clouds and rain predicted for the weekend
I eneded up installing the new Bronco Graveyard fuel sender in the rear tank and then installed the tank back into the truck.
Problem One solved.
Then I installed a new sock(filter) on the pickup for the front tank and reinstalled the sender from the front tank.
Problem Two solved.
Replaced the fuel filter at the carb.
Problems Three Solved.
Than Put about 10 gallons into the rear tank. The Guage read as it should.
And put another 5 gallons into the front tank, and that guage read as it should.
Switched to rear tank, Cranked away, and away, and away. Finially VROOOOMMMMMMM.... running off rear tank. Switched to Front Tank, and every thing seems good.
I will have to take the truck for a drive during the week to make sure the problems are now worked out, but things are looking good on the gas tank front.
Then, Installed some new header bolts into the 5.0 ranger, as some went missing over the years.
Then, painted the newish center console for the 78. The console came from a bronco with a red interior so I had to paint the concole black. Sorry, no pictures yet, its still drying.
Then, uninstalled the rear slider I had installed in the ranger last weekend, (I didnt have any winshield adhesive, but didnt realize it till after I had removed the old window ) and glued up the rear window and re-installed it.
And to think, after all that..... I still feel like I didnt accomplish anything.
Sounds like a real productive day Tom, got the gas tank saga resolved!
Header bolt, console, slider in and such, I say that was all and all a great day.
It looks like you finished up at a decent hour. Way to go buddy
