You need air, fuel, and spark. Have you checked the fuel pressure?
no, how/where do i do that on the e-series? are there special connectors on the fuel line? would i still have good pressure if there's a puddle of precipitate in my tank?
frickin' voodoo priestess possessed EFI POS, if this was my k-jet car i'd already be done. keep in mind i've never lifted a wrench to this one, i don't know any tricks yet e.g. trigger the fuel pumps to run, don't even know how to remove the engine cover inside the van

have you read my thread?
"precipitate in my tank"
I don't know what you mean. Do you suspect water in the tank? Obviously water won't burn, so that is a problem and requires draining the tank. If you are being serious. You would still have pressure, but it would be water pressure, not fuel pressure.
Your pump is inside the gas tank, and they are frequently a problem. As is the filter on the pump pickup. All the more reason to check fuel pressure.
Don't forget the fuel filter, which is probably on the frame rail, but I don't know for sure. Ever changed it?
Like Steve said, there should be a schrader valve somewhere to check pressure. Is this a 5.4L? I don't know what the fuel pressure is supposed to be, but I think around 35psi might be good enough to start. Maybe try asking in the 5.4 engine forum. That van forum doesn't get too much traffic. Or it could be your breathe.
nahh just let it sit. it has a 5.4L but i am looking for van-specific hints not general misinformation from the peanut gallery. i have most basic troubleshooting tools but i am not equipped to work on this one yet, no code reader no special fuel connector tools. the FI connectors are different than the noid light i have rigged up for the Volvos so i need to figure something different out, like using a thin strand of wire stuffed into the connector and reconnect it.
Ah, sorry. I misunderstood, and thought you wanted info to fix it.
try reading some moar then get back to me. if this turns into a troll fest or a bunch of bull**** i'll just take it to the dealer again, i don't have time for that BS and there's some recall notice they have on file to do this time around anyway.
i have had the last few major PM done there too and i think filter is on there somewhere.
this seems most like a froze pump or electrical problem, relay, fuse, corrosion
