Yea, you were right. I had to do a little bit of cutting to make it work. I managed to get them on, but the wiring slowed me down a bit since I had to rewire like 3 times. I was using those little wire connectors that splice into each other and they were not making contact so I got rid of them and did it old school. I spent about an hour adjusting and leveling them. Im just not feeling the parking light bulb. Im gonna look into an amber led for the parkings lights.. but overall they lm happy with them.
Im editing a little video and will be posted soon.
That;s exactly what i wanna do... Im just not sure about the oven thing. Sounds rocky. I would hate to melt important But looks doable. Thanks for the link.
Nice lights! Much better than the stock ones. Someone put those '00-'01 style on my black one before me and I waited much too long to change them back to the '02 OEM ones. Even just making that change made a huge difference.
Since the previous lights were added aftermarket, they aren't really yellow and look pretty new. I'm curious to hear if you find if there is really a market for the factory lights.
looks good..... i like them on ur shiny black ex my is dull now after all the abuse i gave it over the years!
:-(
but make a video that would be cool and if your put an amber LED bulb in there dont forget those led ummm i forgot what they are called maybe someone on here can think of it. u post to wire it in on your LED wire string to make the led blink normal and wont have a sticking turn signal!

Nahh. They're in bad shape. Im just gonna toss them.. I know what you mean about the originals. Im sure there is because I didn't really hate the original look. They were just no the fit for this truck. Working on some bigger tires and some lift. I think the wife will be getting an 05 soon with wood and cream leather and really pretty. If she pulls the trigger Im gonna have my hands full. That one will only get stock mods to restore the original factory look. one stock one custom.
Here's a little video i shot today. Enjoy. Im sure for some it will take you to another time.
I don't know anything about this, but I had a thought after seeing the back of those lights...
If you can get the cover off...couldn't you tape them off and see if someone could 'soda blast' the chrome off? I'd imagine if the plastic is truly black through-and-through (easy to test - just make a small scratch on the back of the lights and see if the backs are painted or if it is through-and-through), you could just soda blast it and get a matte finish that would be pretty close to the finish of the grille inserts.
Did you take your snap clips off the bottom of your grille? Looks like you just took the screw's off and it just came off. If that's the case do you notice any kind of bounce in the grille or does it just stay in place?

These was a little editing there. In the first shot it took a while because I couldn;r find a screw driver to snap the clips so I fast forward it to the removal.
Your EX is turning out great 809! After tax season I'd like to start doing mine up in a similar fashion. Keep the upgrades going.
Thanks, I'll also be getting the final touches on it then which include biger tires. Im gonna see how it looks with the biggest tire I can fit without having to lift. If i have to lift it would be a bout 4 inches. Im waiting on the running board lights and a few more strobes I ordered. I wanna black out my interior and add blue leds under the dash.
Looks good washed or not. Must be the photo, but looks like you're runnin' slicks up front!
I know. It's the photo. Here is what they really look like. I wish they were bald so i can have an excuse to go swipe the card for some 305's. I think i have a few more months. I cleaned the white letters with a fine sanding then a good wipe down. They come out looking like new.
I still need to adjust that pattern and drop the right side a bit.. I need to pick up 4 screws to fasten the bottoms better. It's only held by the 2 top clips. Im gonna pick up the screws in the morn to see if that helps but i wont be able to check till night fall. There are 2 screws behind the top clips that can also be adjusted. Im gonna adjust those too. These fasten on the bottom different from the stocks, These have the stock clips up top but require screws on the bottoms.
