Blacking out the Ex (updates)
I started by removing the grill. I wanted then parallel to each other with the Ford emblem in between. I got lucky because On those 2 parallel bars behind the grill I found circular in print from molding the plastic or something. But it turns out they are in the perfect spot to line up the top screws of the bracket. (See pics) I thought the 4 screws for the brackets were a bit small but drywall screws would of looked bad. I opened a few pilot holes and rolled with it and surprisingly they worked out fine.
I ran my power to the light switch (optional) but I might switch it to an independent power line. I ran the wires from the lights over the radiator housing (not making contact with the radiator), throu the side along the quarter panel, throu the firewall and into the light switch.
I then mounted the control under the dash and zipped tide the wires out of view. These are strobe light but can be set stay lit without flash. I plan on adding a few more to the bumper inserts, 4 blinkers and 2 more on the rear window on the top corners.
Running boards and interior leds will go in tomorrow depending what time i get out of work and weather.. Enjoy...

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

so I can get some work done. I'm gonna see about flipping the tail lights. I read somewhere that it can be done. I'll see.

I started by taking the gill off for better access.

I then went for the 2 clips behind the lamp. I used a thin flat head screw driver to pry the..

I then used a star key to release 2 screws that holds the lamp in it's housing. I disconnected the plug and it came right out.

I drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the plastic away from the bulb but facing forward.

I went ahead and plugged the first of the strobes and without measuring I ended up with a perfect hole. A little tight but better tight than lose. A little silicone and she was all done.

The blinker was way easier since I didn't have to remove it. I plugged it and put some silicone around the edges and that was that.

The revers assembly and the right side was done, No need to show the left side since it's the same procedure. I now have to run the wires thru the firewall and into the control box Then mount it. Almost done. When I'm done I'll be posting a short video.
