That selfish SOB just orphaned their young son, all over a custody battle. And taking the lives of people that are unrelated to his personal issues is incredibly selfish and thoughtless. Horrible tragedies.
Hope your having a great Thursday!
Busy day today between job search, school stuff, & a meeting tonight for the Nevada Day Parade. Go, go, go...never a dull moment!

It is truly a community loss! Everyone around town is very quite and somber today, walking up or down Main Street people just walk, no one is smiling or greeting anyone as they usually do. Oh friend still say hello, but it is just not the same! There is also great anger and outrage... people want Justice.... But what more can we ask.... he has been caught, but that is not nearly enough... It reminds me of 9/11 on a much smaller scale, only the outrage feels just the same.... It was amazing at the coffee club this morning how many people wanted him dead, and so many were willing to be the one to pull the trigger! He is truly lucky that Southern Californians don't carry sidearms. May God Bless All!

Too bad nobody in or around the salon was armed.
Russ he killed the little boys mother, and nearly killed his grandmother too, the 17th Photo is of Tom Stretz who's wife is in ICU at Long Beach memorial, and his daughter was teh shooters ex wife, now deceased. That is a photo of Tom finding out that his daughter is dead, and his wife is in the hospital.. Tom is a local civic leader, involved in the youth community locally, and a business leader also! latest word is that his Wife Hattie is doing well, by the grace of God! Tom has a lot on his plate today! being grandpa to a little boy who now has no parents to speak of, and having to soon nurse his wife back to health.
Pop, do you think stuffing all that grease down the ABS hole is a good idea?
Yes I do. Those of us that are maintaining their bearings thus are not having failures like those that don't. 206,000+ on one of mine.
However, I wouldn't use the moly-filled grease that he's got in that photo, as Timkin did NOT use moly grease in them when they built them. They used Infinitec 152, but you can't get it in quantities less than a 25-pound tub (IIRC).
The best grease that's commonly-available is Mobil 1 synthetic grease (it's red). I use Delo grease (it's blue), and only because I have it, but its specs are only slightly better than the Mobil.
Expect a bit of it to initially work its way past the seals and end up on your rims, but it's a small price to pay for having to use a rag! The design keeps it from the brake rotors, BTW.
I found something laying in the middle of the road today. Poor little guy.
His tractor brakes had locked up as he exited a parking lot. He had to make a wide turn across all lanes then BAM. Brakes locked up. He couldnt for the life of his get the thing to move. So, I figured, "Well I've got nothing better to do, time to put that air brakes endorsement to use."
So I meandered on over. Police (Actually, volunteer police) had the road blocked off and traffic diverted. The guy told me that it wasnt his truck and his was in the shop so they told him to take this one (he works for the state, the truck had the seal all over it and lettering "For official use only").
I walked over to him and asked him if he minds if I take a look. He said go ahead so I walked over and the first thing I do is open the drain for the air tanks. Water comes pouring out. For those of you unfamiliar with air systems, thats bad. So another driver from a different big rig who had walked over laughed and went around to drain the other one. Same deal. So we let them drain. Brakes still didnt free up. So by this time CHP had called a wrecker in and the tow truck operator had started working on the brake pots. He manually released them. Nope. Still locked up. Eventually they just dragged the truck over to the side with the tow truck. The truck driver meanwhile was on the phone, apparently this isnt the first time this truck has done this.
