The fargin bastage is proud of himself!!! it was very hard to watch the press conference today... I was over at Long Beach memorial Hosp. while it was on... My mother was in for a post op Biopsy on her cancer. So I went into the Cafeteria to watch it as I had a few hours to kill. Along with Tom Stretz and many other Seal beach residents we sat and watched Tony get through the Press Conference... Tom was getting choked up too! My fear is that stating at the press conference that they are pursuing the death Penalty, might get the trial thrown out as it will now be hard if not impossible to find an impartial jury.... most likely it will have to move venues to another county....
Hi Guys and Gals
Got back from Wyoming Friday evening a few days early. Not because I bagged a bull.
There was a lot of horseback riding out of base camp. On the third day of hunting after many hours of riding hiking and glassing we were on the way back about a mile and a half out of camp on flat easy trail. My brothers horse spooked and threw him down on a stump breaking his collar bone. Had him choppered out as he could never make the ride back to the trail head (about 5 hours). I rode out the next morning with his gear and drove both of us back.
Even with the accident we had a fantastic time. The hunting was extremely hard but very satisfying. Going back next year if the stars align. The outfitter was first class. Grizzly bears are like dogs out there, they're everywhere.
Picture below is an idea of how it was. That's my brother and our guide as we were glassing the basins below.

So sorry to here about your brother Marc, I guess that is one way to get a helicopter ride... I am however glad to hear that you had a great time... that is very cool! Oh and welcome back to the insanity that is So Cal.
Ya Know I lived in the High Sierra for many years.. and my idea of a vacation back then was either the Grand tetons, or pretty much anywhere in Montana or Wyoming. Just for a change of mountains. Yes it must have been nice to have missed the total insanity around here.... but Welcome home anyway buddy!
