I dunno the specifics.

I think its a centrifugal style supercharger though (id never have chose that style).

I do know he had Empire Diesel build it for him.

The reason its in the shop varies. #1 reason would be tuning problems for sure. And 3 blown turbos doesnt help

Oooh ya that Empire kit is nice. I plan on getting it for my 04 Excursion eventually too. The centrifugal chargers actually work really well on a diesel. They boost quickly unlike on a gasser cus of how they are geared on a diesel. I understand the tuning issues though. It is a totally different game with boost coming on that quickly with the supercharger. Has he by chance dynoed it at all or posted any info up on any Cummins forum? I still haven't seen any info on the Empire Cummins kit at all. I've only seen info for the Dmax and both Powerstroke kits.

I have too many trucks already. Haha. There is a guy who also supercharged his Cummins and is selling his truck too and is buying a newer one. He was running the Whipple setup though from Crazy Carl...

idk i might leave it the same size, but the up pipes need to be a bit bigger.

three cylinders will put the 1.875 pipe right on target velocity wise (but then again due to our firing order one cylinder is firing on the other bank) so it should be fine i would guess.

but the up-pipes are going to be 2 inch at least.

I would keep all the cylinders the same size so they flow the same. Uneven flow is not good. Then bring them together in a 4 to 1 collector. That is what I would do...

Youd prolly lose your "scavenging effect" if you dont keep em even and itd take away your low end

Those things look money! With a design like that it wouldnt be hard to make them into a tri - Y setup, which is what i plan to do on mine if there is room to do it.

You do those with a band saw?

no, i roughed them out with a hot saw(almost took too much off) and ground them to fit with an angle grinder.

there is no way to cut them to match that radius that i know of besides just grinding them to fit.

i am not sure how i feel about them yet, as far as headers go they could have been made much better but compared to the stock manifolds i think they will be much better.
