Do you mean push rod length? What are you getting all those specs for? Anything you are planning?

You might be able to ask Hypermax. They know a lot about these engines...

nope, the con rod length not sure why they would need that though
they would also like the runner volume

i was going to see what they would suggest for a turbo cam and see if they could make one for me

Oh I got ya. NMB2 can hook you up with a turbo cam. His performs pretty well. His whole setup dynoed at 292/614 and now he is upgrading his pump and turbo a lil more too. Racin is also running that cam and dynoed at 235/477 with a Dps pump which is really good too. Type4 also has a cam that was originall intended for NA motors but it also makes good low end power on a turbo engine. The J2 is more for mid range to top end power where the Type4 cam is good on the low end.

No, Racin's cam is my cam too.

My dually has been averaging 14mpg, and Racin' was averaging 15mpg I think, until recently he hit 18mpg iirc.

I haven't had mine on the freeway for a full tank of fuel, I commute about 50 miles a day, 20 miles or so is freeway, the rest is on post or in Lacey.

since your build do you feel that the fuel economy has dropped or raised?

has your cam helped with spool or just maximum boost?
and i saw a post earlier that makes me think that you wouldn't not like to give out the recipe for the cam, am i correct?

This engine gets the same mileage as the stock 147k 7.3 that it replaced actually.

Cam makes everything better.

that is Racin's, Russ's, and some stock truck overlaid.

This is mine:

60 is about 2100rpm for reference. Still trying to get them to send me a sheet with RPM on it. Kind of my fault, I keep forgetting to ask!

i like that red line a lot, i am guessing this was adjusting the timing?

what would you think of a 76mm compressor wheel?
i am thinking about picking up a gtx3076r, but the compressor to turbine size is a bit of a high ratio.
76:60mm

the 76 would allow my to run up to 30lbs of boost and still be over 65% efficiency on the compressor map

i could also do the 71 but i would be less efficient. it also uses a 60 mm turbine

hey, why don't you guys looking for more fuel run two ip? lol that would be interesting to see

The two IPs are possible but really hard to keep the exact same timing. Like for example, different pumps will whear at a different rate. I am by no means a pump expert but can you see what I am getting at? I have seen it on some tractors but those aren't driven everyday like those would be. Most just prefer to find a pump that can give the correct volume...

but if the timing was to differ a little, then you would have a smoother ignition and it would be easier on the engine, no?
