This is what I received from Ford:

My name is Alji with the Ford's Customer Service Department. I had the opportunity to address your e-mail regarding the cool down timer for your Ford vehicle with 6.7L Diesel engine.

Please accept our apology for the delay in our response.

In an effort to assist you, I have escalated your inquiry to our Technical Subject Matter Expert. Please be advised that there is no cool down timer available from Ford for this vehicle. To use the remote start, you would need to exit the vehicle, lock the doors and start the vehicle using the remote start system. The vehicle would then run at idle for 15 minutes and then shut off.

I hope this information helps you. If you have any other inquiries, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Alji

LOL.... might want to forward him this thread. Also does he know the RS system has an adjustable time and it is not set at 15mins.

Hopefully the TMSE (Technical Subject Matter Expert) will have a better answer.

Bet he doesn't know that there is a USB 2 either. Some one should let Ford know what their product is able to do.

Hmm couldn't have found it to save my life. Thanks. Is this the 100 series or the 200 series?

Series 100 has been superceded by the 200. Here is the thread with the details: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-security.html

Not superseded by, but rather an additional offering. Series 100's are Ford's remote start systems. Series 200's are remote start and vehicle security. For the Super Duty you have 3 kits to choose from...

OE Plug-N-Play Kit (Equivalent to Factory): BC3Z-19G364-A with a MSRP of $228.57

Series 100 Plug-N-Play Kit (Bi-Directional Remote Start): BT4Z-19G364-A with a MSRP of $298.57

Series 200 Plug-N-Play Kit (Bi-Directional Remote Start & Vehicle Security): BB5Z-19G364-C with a MSRP of $355.71

The kit listed on partsguyed.com's site is the Series 100...

I just tried it on my 5/2011 build.
The first time, no go.
The second time, BINGO!
it's all in the timing. As you're letting go of the last button press, turn the key off. You have to do it in a snap.

Thanks for the clarification. Do the 100 series and the 200 series have the same range?
