Ah, my friend, that is indeed the question to ask. Not sure which of the control modules are involved in your LECD function, but if it gets updated, I suspect there is a chance you will have the "NECD" (Non -Existent Cool Down)
I just recently (2 weeks ago) had the new trans flash and the daytime running lights turned on. I'm up to date on all flashes and luckily, it works on mine.
I wish I knew if it worked before the transmission flash. For those that it's working, have you had the trans flash?
That a boy cabindoc. It's tricky but that's the way these are. My remote, all I dois push start with vehicle running, get out and lock. It's all in the technique. I bet if you read your remote manual there is also a way to extend idle time, temp protect (start below a certain temp).
I was just able to get mine to work on a March 2011 Build F350.
1. Door was already locked
2. Pushed remote lock button once
3. Pushed remote '2x' button twice
4. QUICKLY removed key, truck did not shut off
5. Opened door, truck did not shut off
6. Closed door with me inside, truck did not shut off
I did not leave the truck running long enough without the key to see if it would auto shut down after the 5' value in my settings.
So it's working on the job 2's as well, nice! That's it, I'm purposely missing the shuttle to work tomorrow so I can mess around with it for 20 mins or while I'm waiting for the next one!
I quickly turned the ignition off and removed the key.
I did not try it by just quickly turning the ignition off, but since the logic is to get the ignition switch turned off BEFORE the horn beeps, my hunch is leaving the key in will work.

Yes, I am all up to date on flashes, nox sensor issues, TSB's and trans flashes. PS, I have my shut off set at 5 min and it does shut down. I also have my autolock and autounlock turned on, but I dont think it makes a difference.
Someone should try leaving your thumb on the button while removing the key see if that makes the time less critical.
Seems to be alot of different variables between trucks....
On mine I do NOT have to remove the key and I do not need to count/time the button pushes, (you can see it in my videos), but my truck seems to be odd in that it also keeps the radio on until I open the door.
Be interesting to see all the different variables to get this to work between trucks.
