"Oddballs" pics
As teens, a buddy and I searched high and low to try and find a Henry J. You guessed it, our plan was to make a drag car.
We were already running a 55 Chevy with a fiberglass tilt nose, a two 4 barrel tunnel ram and a 4 speed. We never did find a Henry J though. They were just not that common out here

I don't think they are common anywhere. I'd have to look up production numbers again but I know they weren't made in big numbers. The guy who ran the Ford parts department in my area had a Henry J he built with a 289/C4 combo. It was a cute little car that he had a lot of fun with. And they do make awesome drag cars. I ran into this story yesterday when I was researching the flying car pic. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/hen...ers-small-car/
That pickup (S-10 maybe???) with the F-100 front clip reminds me of those kits you could buy years ago to make your Thunderbird look like a shoebox Ford. Wouldn't have had one of those either.
Ugly!
Someone makes a kit to disguise a LS engine to look like a 390. If I ever see one of those at a cruise night I will gather every Ford owner there to perform a group simulated throw up around it for a photo shoot.
Happy New Year to all!

LOL...too funny!! but I'm with you.
They make all sorts of "dress up" kits to disguise your SBC to look like different engine. It's fairly common to make them look like older Oldsmobile engines.
My question is, if the SBC is such a great piece of art then why are people going to so much trouble to disguise the fact that they have one....LOL
