This "Chicken Car" reminds me of these Ford trucks.
I've had this picture in my files for many years. I just noticed that nearly every truck has the optional "light duty grille guard" which I've only seen the 1953 Accessories catalog.
How would that be kept upright when you stopped at a traffic light...lol
I don't see how you keep this thing upright, but land speed record motorcycle streamliners usually had retractable wheels like in this pic:

Thanks for the Heinkel information. I had never heard of it/them. Ya learn something new every day don't you? I also thought it was an Isetta until you enlightened us.
As for the chariot races I first saw that pic long before AI, or even Photo Shop, came about.
Well, I learned something today. I had no idea there were so many companies that made "front door" cars like this. I was familiar with Isetta, and just assumed this was one. Very interesting. (said in an Arte Johnson accent)
