How many squirrels got fried by touching two wires at the same time!?
We had a squirrel do that up the alley from my house just yesterday. I see a flash, hear a boom, lights went out, then I see a smoldering body of a squirrel at the bottom of the pole.
I'd like to know how they ran all those wires without getting fried.
I can't see them shutting them all down to run them or having to fix or replace them when needed.
I thought this early F-1 was a bit different than usual - so sent Ross the picture and he suggested I post it here. Found it on Google Earth and even though the location is only 15 miles from home, I'm not driving much anymore so haven't tried to find it. I guess you might call it a "6x2" or a "Tandem Axle" - note the dual ammo cans in the back and a few other cool mods! - Bob

If you look close, you can see a "seam" running up the length of the picture. It's a Google overlap in their photography. The bed and back window on the chevy is weird, too. You see it a lot if you do much searching on their site. It's funny to see colors change in rivers and farm fields, too.
Yep, see that all the time - thought more people posting here would be familiar with Google Earth. I use "street view" a lot to get an idea where I might want to park or make turns when going to new places. They often "patch views" from different months (even years) together as you move your position a bit along a city street or a highway. I checked on that F-1 again today and the rear of the truck is back to normal and looks like the guy (owner?) at the left front has been working on extending the hood and front end a bit! I'm kind of curious about the mods to that truck. I see headers and maybe aluminum heads there with the missing front fender pieces. What running boards are those? - maybe for a factory flat bed, or cab & chassis? - Bob

I'm guessing that those are telephone wires and not power cables.
i do see a few glass isolators in the mix, but i agree, most likely mostly phone lines............in a foreign country.
You're right, it is a foreign country. I found this caption...
