Cool, thanks man. Im surprised the compression fitting bit and sealed onto the metal fuel line. Ive used them plenty of times on plastic air brake tubing, but thats got a soft wall to bite into. You didnt have to flare the end or anything? This will save me a ton of headaches, ive been wondering what to do as far as fuel goes for a while now
No flare ir any thing. Just slid it right in there I'm not sure if you will have a releif valve in your tank like mine does or not tho. But u will know right awah the pump will go thuthu thu thu. Pulisate andthe pressure will jump every where
Compression fittings are intended for gas (like propane or natural gas) or water in residential applications so there is no reason it wont work on fuel/gas without leaking.
Thats all great to hear! And no, i got lucky, 89 was the last year for the low pressure in tank pump, hi psi on the frame rail. If I just bypass the frame mounted pump, the in tank will only pump roughly 14psi from what ive been told.
Yeah, Ive actually been collecting parts for this engine build for a few years now. The carb was one of the first things I picked up, was able to get it brand new in the box for only 100 bucks at a swap meet.
