i thought it was the ether injection and 47º advanced static timing that was causing the fires

Well it runs, I haven't drove it, as I'm having fuel return issues. The return line can hold 20 psi. So, I'm going to have to replace it, or find the restriction.

oooh forgot about the high pressure fuel pumps.
if you have a dual pump system, you will need to eliminate the in frame high pressure pump. you want no more than 7 lbs to the carb.

I have dual pumps, but not that dual pump set up. I have one pump in each tank...... None on the frame.

well, fuel pressure in that setup is still in the 30-40 lb range. you are going to have to figure a way to drop it down to 7 lbs.

I have a regulator designed for that, BUT there is a issure with the return system where it holds pressure and it shouldn't.

Disconnect a fuel line and hook up an airline, maybe you can clean out the restriction with the air pressure? worth a shot.

I didnt think about this last night but...
For your build all you need is a good deadhead regulator and forget about the return. Id just cap it off at the tank or loop the return from one tank to the return of the other.

It would burnup the pumps that way I think. What deadhead regulater can knock 45+ psi to 6??
Here is how some other guys "fix" the issue on thiers.
Steady preSsure at tHe carb but not at the firsr regulator

Automotive A1000 pump and a A1000 regulator. Ive got 700lbs/hr of fuel going through a -10 (5/8") feed line at 45psi and the regulator steps that down to 5.5-6psi at the carb.
