Would u really need the copper tube?

Only vac, secondary carb I have screwed with is a old thermo quad or whatever my old Imperial had. I just used a piece of wire on it, had to slowly get on it from a stop, but a 30 drop it would go like mad

The screw in the linkage will kinda make it a half **** wanna be mechanical. In your application I wouldnt do it. Among other issues you'll most probably have a flat spot when the secondaries are supposed to kick in because you dont have 2 squirts of fuel.

Its just an old trick on a Holley.

Buy the spring kit and do it right.

Lol, well the carb is basically a holley, and has a provision for a second accelerator pump, but with all that its easier to "do it right" n use the springs.

If I get this tuned right it should work great for me, I the sound if it sucking air drowns out my exhaust from inside the cab!

After some miles on it pulling the camper, one short 50 mile trip I got 10 mpg, than I got about 7 mpg on a 140 mile trip on a hilly curvy road. I ran 4th gear most of the way, and tried to run between 60-65 the whole time. But as luck would have it, the wind was fighting me the whole time. I did drop to 3rd on ONE hill, ran 4000+rpms up it.

But I can't help but wonder, how much of a difference would changing out my current cam www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-35-255-5/ for something bigger, or swapping better heads on would make make. I guess I haven't really ran it up to the 5200 rpm max of the cam yet, so a bigger cam is a mook point.

Since you don't need to compromise your cam to keep the computer happy any longer, I'd go with something like this COMP Cams 35-239-3 - COMP Cams Xtreme 4x4 Camshafts - Overview - SummitRacing.com
Should be a big improvement in power. A good set of heads wouldn't hurt either... LOL

Or I could swap some 1.7 rockers on, cheaper/easier than a cam swap, and gets me 508/515 lift...

Ya........ That's kinda why I'm still debating what to do. But I guess always start with rockers, and if I don't like it, swap cams and it will make it that much beTter.
