Hope to be pulling all the EFi off this weekend and topping it off with a 86 HO intake, 2 inch 4 hole space, and a 600 CFM Summit carb. I sunk too much $ into the EFI, and it still doesn't run right. Instead of spending who knows how much more in a custon tune(witch no one within 200 miles can do) I'm cutting my losses, and putting something on that I know will work time and time again.
Ikve got pritty muck everything figured out I think. Most time consuming part will be pulling all the wires out that are not needed anymore.
I'll take before pics, during, and after pics.
I'm also hoping this will help my **** poor fuel mileage. Best I've got with the 351W so far has been just shy of 11. (At 65 all hwy miles). Worst has been 6 mpg pulling the new camper home in the wind, anywhere from 65-80 mph.
I payed $1000 for the pickup, I couldn't seeing spending $3,000 on EFI, when I HAVE MAF EFI that no one around here can figure out what's wrong with it.
is it just me or do you think listing a giant one barrel as a "street" carb sounds a little off? pretty sure driveability in stop and go stuff would blow.
