Project Sandy - Jaime's Project thread
I vote for another light...You can never have enough light...
ANd simply do the repeat of your holding method for the remote...
And use a sharpie to write F on one for the front light, and R on the other for the rear light...
Simple as that...

Well yea thats what I plan to do but I kinda hope that I can run two off one remote so I can have the second remote in the cab and control both with either
that would be how I would like for it to happen!

Well work has started on the truck, albeit slowly but its in progress, pics are being taken, stay tuned for the pics of the truck (and the ****
) to be posted!!!
Found another problem that was a $5 fix, the heater hose "dump valve" dry roted out and had to fix that, thankfully I started dickin around with what I thought was for the AC system and found the issue!!! (fix pic comin soon)

start of the headlamp switch
Start:

My friend Kenny (who is helping me with the work!) starting the work!!

Figured the battery removal would make it faster (which it did)

the screws are out

The 194 LEDs im going to use

got one out, but hit a snag....

unfortunately the headlamp switch has stalled
the new lamps don't seem to fit/match up properly as they should, but we arn't going to give up on the corners either, were determined to make some progress as Henry Ford would be disgraced if no progress was made
so yea were leaving the old lamps in for now till I figure out something else...corvers are getting switched out tho!

Looking good Jaime...
As for the headlights...After you remove the 3 clips, and slide the old light bucket out..
Slide the new one in, and push HARD....The plastic retainers at the end of the adjustment rods (The pieces of plastic the clips actually latch onto) have a SMALL little groove in them, that HAS to be on the backside of the plastic headerpanel...(The big plastic panel EVERYTHING hangs onto)..
It'll take a second but that's the secret..lol

well heres an update, one that took a bit of time to get over but still its an update that happened, sadly an update I don't wish anyone to go through...
my friends place where I was keeping the parts (front pads for brakes, head lamp houseings and various tools and jack, as well as other things for the truck while we were doing the work got broken into and said items along with other things got stolen, no hope for recovery...
so now its back to square one with the head lamps, but thats an easy thing to replace, just glad no one was hurt or killed...so work on my truck has more or less stalled out indefinatly at this point untill I get the money to replace the stolen parts...

Just sucks that I had a ton of parts taken that I was saving to have the front end redone with new parts (suspension, supports, springs, ect, ect) and even the head lamps and the original CHML lamp that I was going to swap back on....not to mention my brothers replacement bumper for his car

From start to finish I would say it takes 15-20 minutes to do. Really easy and it does make a big difference. As for the grill inserts, They do look really nice. I am lucky that I have an entire replacement set color matched in case I ever loose one. Unfortunately LUND stopped making them a long time ago and they seem to be out of stock EVERYWHERE...

love the grill incerts!!
