look on the viair website, they do all sorts of compressors for vehicles.
And they are proven a million times over by the car tuning scene that use them on air bag suspensions.

Jdan, thanks ill give them a try, glad to know!

Ok here is another update, starting to pice thing together, I so far have the tank and fittings, have one that is the incorrect size, so need to change that out but once I get that done ill just need the line and a compressor to hook to, then that should take care of most of what I'm trying to do with the tank. So all I have left is decide what I want to do with the 1" line and decide how I want the air gauge to be mounted (in cab vs on tank)
When you look for a compressor, you will need to look at CFM, that's cubic feet per minute. A 15 gallon tank will take a while to fill, but you'll have a lot of reserve! Also, how much pressure are you looking to have?
Well I just want enough to run air horns, but also be able to fill a flat tire if needed, I currently have a blow off valve rated for 175psi. Here is a picture of the tank plate, not looking for much more then 180 (I think the tank is rated 200psi max anyways), if you need any more info just ask, oh and I do want to be able to run air tools if needed or if I just want to use them.
A 175psi is a lot of pressure! Semi trucks run 120 for their horns and brakes. And really 120 is plenty to run a 1/2" impact. Most tire guys run 150psi in their service trucks. Most impact guns are actually rated using 90-100psi.

If 175psi doesn't do what he wants, he needs to just hang his keys up.
175 is the blow off, or safety valve. Installed in case the compressor's pressure switch fails. Chances are, the pressure switch won't be rated for more than 150 PSI, which is still a little overkill.
I'd run 120 PSI if it were mine, if for no other reason than to reduce wear and tear on the compressor.
Speaking of compressors, getting one that's going to put out the kind of CFM you need for air tools is going to be expensive, and it'll be quite the electrical draw.
Keep in mind the 175 is what the safety valve is set for (it came with the tank) but most likely I will step it down, I was thinking of stepping it down to about 110 to 120 honestly

To me, the only compressor that could honestly put down those types of numbers, would be the APU setups with their own little engine.

Nah, that 175 is fine. The compressor will shut off at whatever the pressure switch that comes with it is rated for.
Who is it that makes the underhood air compressors? Coulda sworn it was Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, but I can't find it on their website.
This set up is what I would love to try and do, would like to find a place in the US to get ir from and one thats more or less bolt on/plug-n-play set up (could get the double pully wheel that goes on the bottom of the engine (for get the name of the item) if needed) so I can have it run off the engine...
